Support Harris/Walz and the rest of the Democratic ticket right here in Okaloosa County! Join our volunteers as we canvass, make phone calls, send texts, and register voters. We are also working to pass the Constitutional Amendments for abortion access and legalization of marijuana.

PRECINCT ORGANIZING
Precinct organization acts as the vital foundation of political activities in our community. Getting involved in your precinct involves precinct meetings, phone banking and canvassing in your neighborhood, recruiting volunteers from the people you know, and overall, a greater sense of connection with the people in your area. To find out which precinct you are located in, click here. To get involved, contact your precinct's committee leader by locating them on our precinct committee leaders list. If you do not see a precinct committee leader listed for your precinct, consider joining the Okaloosa County Democratic Executive Committee in representing your precinct as a committee leader!

ISSUE ADVOCACY
Active advocacy for important issues is a cornerstone of our presence in the community. From contacting local, state, and federal representatives on legislation, to attending City Council and County Commission meetings, to participating in marches and other actions, we advocate for inclusion, progress, and justice.

VOTER PROTECTION
Poll Watchers:
Poll watching is a crucial component of our voter protection program. Poll watching, when done correctly, allows our campaign to work to quickly resolve voting and polling place issues,provides a vital first-hand record of incidents or violations in the court of law, and ensures that as many voters as possible legally cast their ballot.
Poll watchers will observe activites at the polling place and report irregularities and potential election law violations. Poll watchers will sign up for half-day shifts at priority polling locations during the early vote period and on election day.
Poll watchers must be registered to vote in the county where they are credentialed as poll watchers. If you are interested in becoming a poll watcher for the upcoming primary or general election, please sign up here.

Ballot Curing:
Ballot curing is another crucial component of our voter protection program. Ballot curing involves identifying vote by mail ballots that have been flagged by the Supervisor of Elections for review, and communicating with the voters to ensure they have the proper information to ensure any questions are addressed and that their voters are counted.

GET OUT AND VOTE!
Above all, the most impactful way to support Okaloosa Democrats is to vote in the upcoming elections. Keeping up with your voter registration status and staying informed about election dates and candidates are important attributes of an active participator in the political process.
